Product Design - Disc Sander with Automatic E-Stop
Group project prototyping a Disc Sander, SandStill, that stops faster than a blink of an eye automatically on human contact. (Fall 2023)
- Contributed to overall mechanical design and construction.
- Tested various commercial and non-commercial capacitive sensing circuitry.
- Wrote code to manage the state of the sensing circuitry, LED output, motor, and brake.
- Designed filters to react quickly to sudden touches, but account for long term environmental changes.
Design for Manufacturing - Injection Molded Yo-Yo
Design of injection molds and thermoformed molds for subsequent manufacturing. (Fall 2021)
- CADed Yo-Yo parts including surface effects from an image texture.
- Designed parts for snap and interference fits.
- Preformed CAM and machined aluminum molds.
- Machined injection molds.
- Operated injection molding machine, thermoform machine, and 3-axis CNC machine.
Product Design - Full Stack LED Prop System
Ongoing Design and Research of 3D Printable Props with Customizable Effects for use in Dance Performance. (Summer 2023 - Ongoing)
- Designed 3D printable props using constraint driven design.
- Documented and iterated through design changes.
- Designed a novel system for defining user customizable procedural LED effects.

Research, Reverse Engineering, and Recreation of a 1973 Chilean Cybernetic Control Room (Summer 2023)
